Position: Host/Hostess – Part time
About: Responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff, and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock. Major responsibilities include delivering meal carts to patient units, aiding in meal set-up at bedside, discarding of soiled trays, taking inventory of nourishment area, stocking the nourishment area, and accurately operating technical equipment. The Healthcare Host/Hostess will also be responsible for sanitation activities, including dishware, equipment cleaning, and janitorial tasks, as well as cashiering in the cafeteria.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent preferred. Prior work experience not required, related work experience preferred. Verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills preferred. Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and communicate with co-workers and other departments professionally and respectfully. Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives. Ability to provide clear directions, respond to co-workers, and demonstrate basic food-handling skills.
