Position: Host/Hostess
About: The Strand House, a fine dining restaurant with unobstructed ocean views, is seeking an outgoing and experienced Host/Hostess to join their team in South Bay. The establishment is known for a modern heirloom menu, an extensive wine list, and craft cocktails, emphasizing a hospitality-driven culture within a successful restaurant and hotel group.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of hosting experience in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant required; 3+ years preferred; Minimum of 1 year using OpenTable; Positive attitude and excellent communication and people skills; Professional demeanor and a warm inviting personality; Ability to anticipate guests’ needs and handle different expectations; Demonstrative ability to address and resolve challenging guests’ needs and requests with professionalism; Ability to collaborate with multiple team members; Excellent phone etiquette (a must) and prior multi-line phone experience is a plus; Ability to shift gears quickly and multitask at the highest level; Must be able to walk up and down the stairs at the multiple level restaurant
