Position: Host/Hostess
About: Responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff, and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock, the Healthcare Host/Hostess position at MedStar/Sodexo involves delivering meal carts to patient units, assisting in meal set-up at bedside, discarding soiled trays, taking inventory of nourishment areas, stocking, and operating technical equipment. The role also encompasses sanitation activities, cashiering in the cafeteria, and other duties assigned by the employer.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent preferred; prior work experience not required, related work experience preferred; verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills preferred; presents self professionally with honesty and ethics; able to maintain a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and other departments, provide clear directions, and handle basic food-handling tasks.
