Position: Host/Hostess
About: This job posting is for a Host/Hostess position at a restaurant. The Host/Hostess will report to the General Manager or Manager and will be responsible for greeting and seating customers, handling payments, and assisting service personnel to ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with company standards. Job functions include greeting customers, collecting payments, seating customers appropriately, maintaining a clean hostess area, taking phone orders, and providing customer service. The position also involves handling complaints, suggesting beverage options, and assisting with table service. Accountabilities include seating customers promptly and handling guest check transactions accurately to balance register totals at the end of the shift.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to handle cash transactions accurately; strong communication skills; reliability and flexibility; teamwork abilities; mobility to work in the restaurant environment; compliance with health regulations related to food handling; minimum of 6 months experience as a Host/Hostess or cashier
