Position: Host/Hostess
About: Rum Runners is seeking a Host/Hostess to present a positive first impression of the restaurant’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. The Host/Hostess will greet guests upon arrival, inform them of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter guest names into the computer system, show guests to their table, and bid farewell as they leave. Additionally, they must engage in natural conversation with guests, perform light housekeeping duties, answer phones, and assist with to-go orders as part of the energetic team. Availability must include nights and weekends.
Requirements: Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as understanding requests for assistance; must be able to walk and stand during entire shift; desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team; ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment; ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
