Position: Host- Hostess
About: IHOP is seeking a Host to be the welcoming face for guests, managing seating, assisting in maintaining a clean dining area, and ensuring a positive dining experience at their restaurant chain. Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing the seating chart efficiently, answering phones for reservations, providing menus, and assisting in maintaining cleanliness. The Host is expected to be proficient in reading and writing, have effective communication skills, be able to stand for up to 8 hours, lift up to 25 pounds, and have full mobility of hands and arms for repetitive tasks. Competencies include customer focus, teamwork, adaptability, time management, and problem-solving. Required skills include basic math for managing seating, excellent verbal communication, multitasking, and basic computer skills for reservations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; effective communication skills; ability to stand for up to 8 hours during shifts; capable of lifting or moving up to 25 pounds; full mobility of hands and arms to perform repetitive tasks like transporting plates, glasses, and baskets between kitchen and dining room
