Position: Host/Barista – National Park Inn – Summer Seasonal

About: Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier is an iconic point in the Washington landscape. Operating year-round with the primary season in the summer months, most employment opportunities are available between April and October. Requirements: Partial high school education; High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred; Knowledge of or ability to learn to create specialty coffees and other drinks; Previous barista experience preferred; Strong sanitation habits and attention to detail; Strong guest service abilities; Actively look for ways to assist guests and co-workers; Ability to learn and use food service POS system including computerized cash register and credit card terminal; Ability to solve guest problems and refer to management as necessary; 21 years of age or older due to serving alcoholic drinks; Move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit; Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently; Lift, carry, and push up to 15 lbs regularly, 20-30 lbs frequently, and up to 40 lbs occasionally; Able to stand for extended periods and climb stairs occasionally; Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of guests and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English; Read and write in English; Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties
