Position: Host
About: The Greene Turtle, a dining room establishment, is seeking a Host to supervise and coordinate dining room activities. The host practices strong telephone and guest service etiquette, warmly greeting and seating guests in a professional manner.
Requirements: Answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner; Possess knowledge of the POS system to ring sales; Practice complete guest service by greeting and welcoming guests; Possess knowledge of food, beverages, and merchandise served; Able to properly set tables; Understand mechanics of service and arrange tables for large parties; Maintain dining room, entrance (interior & exterior) throughout shift; Ensure plenty of clean menus for service period; Appear and act in a professional manner; Check with manager for any large parties; Ensure servers are aware when they have a table; Maintain cleanliness of dining room, entrance, bathrooms, and menus throughout operations; Greet each guest upon entrance and thank them as they exit; Assist in cleaning and resetting tables when necessary; Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager; Maintain Merchandise Showcase
