Position: Host – $12 hr + Tips
About: Located at lake level in The Edgewater’s historic Langdon Building, The Boathouse provides a coastal ambiance, offering a menu featuring Mahi fish tacos, Wisconsin favorites like the Stella’s bun chicken BLT, and Clock Shadow cheese curds. Catering to Madison locals and guests of the 4-Star hotel, it is the only restaurant in downtown Madison directly situated on Lake Mendota, allowing customers to access it directly from the lake by tying up their boats on the pier.
Requirements: Previous experience of one (1) year or more in a casual or fine-dining setting is preferred; Experience in food & beverage service within a hotel/resort setting is a plus; Ability to warmly greet and seat guests, present dining menus, inform guests of menu specials; Attention to detail in organizing seating charts, maintaining a guest wait-list, managing paging devices; Effective communication skills for team coordination, customer updates; Positive attitude, excellent customer service, team player, self-driven; Physically able to carry trays, deliver drinks, move tables & chairs, clean areas, and more as needed.
