Position: HOSPITAL POLICE OFFICER I – STROGER
About: The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is seeking a Hospital Police Officer for the Security Department at Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL. The shift timing is from 2:45 PM to 10:45 PM. The role involves ensuring the safety of hospital employees, patients, and visitors through patrolling, incident response, and record-keeping. Liaison with other law enforcement agencies is also part of the job responsibilities.
Requirements: A high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate is required. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License. Must possess a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card issued by the State of Illinois. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor offense. Successful completion of various exams and training processes is mandatory for this position. Ability to understand and follow law enforcement guidelines, make sound judgments, and work on a rotating schedule is necessary.
