Position: Histology/Cytology Lab Manager
About: CHA Cambridge Hospital is seeking a Technical Manager for the Histology – Cytology Laboratory to maintain high-quality technical performance in accordance with the laboratory’s goals and requirements. The role involves coordinating training, procedure development, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with inspection standards. The position requires a strong focus on quality improvement and staff leadership, engaging in the continuous enhancement of departmental operations and workflow efficiency.
Requirements: ASCP HT Certification required; BS in a Biological Science or Chemistry preferred and 5 years of relevant experience within the last 10 years; Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program with HTL certification preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills, experience in surgical specimen processing, immunohistochemistry, instrumentation, and quality control systems management. Computer proficiency, human resources, and team-building skills, knowledge of Cytology Lab and CAP accreditation requirements preferred.
