Position: Head Baker
About: Essen Bakery North, located in the Fishtown/Kensington area, is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Baker for their brand new location. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the bakery’s success by upholding high standards of craftsmanship and organization, overseeing operations, and ensuring quality output alongside the Kitchen Manager.
Requirements: Three years experience as a Baker, Pastry Cook, or Pastry Chef; knowledgeable in all food safety practices; strong familiarity with bakery equipment maintenance and safety measures; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; excellent time management skills; ability to work efficiently and provide clear instructions; strong interpersonal skills and effective team leadership; ability to lift heavy items; flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts
