Position: General Manager
About: The Merc Co-op, a community-owned food cooperative with two vibrant locations in Lawrence and Kansas City, Kansas, is seeking a visionary General Manager to lead the organization in a competitive market. With over 9,700 owners and around 100 staff, the co-op generates an annual revenue of $17 million, emphasizing quality and community engagement in its operations.
Requirements: At least 5+ years of proven grocery and/or retail management experience; exceptional communication and change management skills; strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating teams; high integrity and commitment to personal and social values; experience in cooperative governance and community engagement is a plus
