Position: General Manager
About: The General Manager position at Kissel Uptown Oakland offers an opportunity to lead a luxury hotel in the vibrant district of Uptown Oakland. The role involves overseeing all hotel operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations and brand standards. The General Manager will play a key role in driving financial performance, executing property improvement projects, and fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements: At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years of related experience; proficiency in Windows operating systems and Company-approved software; valid driver’s license; strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in high-pressure situations; effective management and leadership abilities; financial acumen and familiarity with basic arithmetic functions; discretion and independent judgment in decision-making.
