Position: GCU – Janitor/Porter
About: Grand Canyon University, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University. The university’s Facilities department manages and services all university-owned property to support its mission. The Janitorial Cleaning Services Department is seeking a Janitor/Porter to maintain the campus and partner office buildings at the Main Campus on 33rd Ave and Camelback.
Requirements: High school degree or equivalent preferred; minimum 6 months of related commercial cleaning experience, or similar work experience; must be able to pass pre-employment background check; strong personal orientation to provide excellent customer service; willing to comply with OSHA/safety requirements; must have the physical ability to perform all tasks; must be punctual for shift start and maintain reliable attendance; ability to learn and understand how to properly use and handle various commercial cleaning chemicals and solvents and other specialty cleaning tools/equipment; provide a positive example by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
