Position: Garden Stewards Assistant
About: The Arboretum Foundation is a nonprofit membership organization that has been providing stewardship for the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle since 1935. They manage the park’s membership and volunteer programs, raise funds, and advocate for the Arboretum within the community. Essential operations funded by the Foundation include arboriculture, garden maintenance, volunteer management, and environmental education programs aimed at expanding community access. The Foundation also oversees programming for the Seattle Japanese Garden, with a focus on sustainability, climate resilience, and cultivating environmental stewards.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; one year of work experience preferred; ability to lift up to 40 lbs; ability to use computers and relevant software for volunteer recruitment; strong communication and organizational skills
