Position: Full Time Hyperbaric Chamber Operator – RRT – will train *Sign on Bonus-Up to $20,000*

The Sr. Registered Respiratory Therapist role involves assessing, implementing, and coordinating respiratory care plans for inpatients and outpatients, operating technical equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, and supporting specialized functions within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Pulmonary Lab and/or the Sleep Laboratory. This position requires continuous monitoring of therapy, therapeutic response, and disease processes to make appropriate revisions in consultation with medical professionals.
Requirements: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; B.S. preferred; four weeks training in Cardiac Catheterization and Primary Angioplasty, 6 months on-the-job training, two years of sleep lab experience; ongoing education in sleep medicine and continuing education units annually; one year in-hospital clinical practice experience; one year in a sub-specialty area (Cardiac Catheterization, Pulmonary Lab, Sleep Lab, Bronchoscopy); registered by the NBRC; BLS and ACLS certificates; licensed in Respiratory Therapy in Connecticut; certification in Arterial Blood Gas Sampling; specialized certifications preferred for different specialty areas.
