Position: Front Office Lead – Pediatrics
About: This position involves leading the daily workflow of the front office at UNLV Health, including scheduling patient appointments, greeting patients and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, checking patients in and out, verifying insurance eligibility, and assisting in general office duties. The clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. Educational requirements include a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Qualifications require knowledge of electronic medical record systems, a minimum of three years experience in healthcare, problem-solving ability, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, communication skills with the public, knowledge of insurance programs, math skills for cash handling, proficiency in office machinery and software applications, insurance verification software knowledge, confidentiality maintenance, familiarity with medical office scheduling and terminology, and the ability to work under fast-paced and stressful conditions with frequent interruptions.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent; Knowledge of electronic medical record system preferred; A minimum of three years experience in healthcare performing like duties is required; Ability to problem solve; Excellent interpersonal communication ability; Excellent customer service skills; Ability to communicate professionally with the public; Knowledge of insurance programs; Math skills to manage cash, change, checks and credit card transactions; Knowledge of operating various types of office machinery and applicable software applications; Knowledge of insurance verification software; Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow PHV HIPAA regulations; Knowledge of medical office scheduling; Knowledge of medical office terminology; Ability to work under fast-paced and stressful conditions; Ability to work with frequent interruptions
