Position: Front Desk Receptionist
About: The National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.’s front desk receptionist is the first point of contact for customers, guests, and walk-ins, performing various functions to provide clerical and customer support duties.
Requirements: Education: Individuals require a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED to work as a front desk receptionist; Customer service skills: Ability to provide customer support in a prompt, friendly, and timely manner, and follow up on cases through resolution; Stress management skills: Ability to maintain composure in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment; Self-starter and team player: Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment; Listening and communication skills: Actively listen to customers or guests, possess great oral and written communication skills; Professionalism: Enthusiastic, respectful, and friendly with a professional presentation and a positive attitude; Phone handling skills: Solid phone handling etiquette for engaging with guests and customers, efficiently handling a multi-line telephone system; Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills to relate with people of various backgrounds, establish relationships, and build rapport; Computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and strong keyboarding skills; Organizational skills: Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize assignments; Technical skills: Basic skills for operating and maintaining office machinery.
