Position: Freelance Event Specialist – Portland, Maine
About: Visit.org is looking for an experienced, responsible, and driven Freelance Event Specialist in Portland, Maine to manage the logistics of an upcoming in-person event. Visit.org helps companies discover and book social impact team experiences benefiting local nonprofits across 90+ countries, providing scalable content for employee and client engagement. The Event Specialist will be the onsite coordinator for engaging team-building activities that support a great cause.
Requirements: Fluency in English and strong communication skills; Based in Portland, Maine; Schedule flexibility for per-event contract work; Experience in complex events; Resourcefulness and ability to problem-solve under pressure; Self-starter with organizational skills; Experience in customer service and group facilitation; Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends; Willing to travel locally; Strong interpersonal skills in fast-paced environments; Comfortable interacting with large crowds; Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30lbs; Able to stand for extended periods
