About: Skills for Chicagoland’s Future is a Chicago-based nonprofit that focuses on removing barriers to employment by eliminating unnecessary biases in the hiring process. They collaborate with local and global companies to bring job opportunities to various neighborhoods and municipalities in the Chicagoland area. The organization provides services to candidates residing in Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois who are unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; one year of on-the-job experience preferred to become familiar with basic food preparation techniques and cafeteria procedures; basic analytical skills necessary for portioning food and stocking stations; ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail for cashier duties, receiving money, and maintaining food stations
