Position: Food Service Manager, Seasonal
About: Tri-Valley Opportunity Council is seeking a Food Service Manager to collaborate with food service personnel and classroom staff in preparing meals and providing services in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and USDA guidelines. The position involves ensuring adequate food quantities, proper serving sizes, and implementing food safety measures. The Food Service Manager also manages ordering procedures, maintains records, and assists in recruiting parents by highlighting program services and benefits for enrolled children and families.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age; high school diploma or GED required, turning 18 by the end of August of the current year; Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or proof of current registration post-hire, certification required within 30 days of hire date; one year of experience in cooking for large groups; ability to read and complete paperwork in English; proficient in math problem-solving; comfortable with computers and willing to learn program-specific systems.
