Position: Food Service (Cafeteria) Assistant
About: UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital is currently seeking a Full-Time Support Services staff to join the SAH DIETARY team at UW Health in northern Illinois. The position involves greeting cafeteria patrons, serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a favorable dining experience for customers. The role requires adherence to department standards, accurate documentation, and active participation in quality improvement activities and educational experiences in line with organizational objectives.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Serve Safe Food Handler certification within 30 days of hire; good oral communication and customer service skills; ability to interact effectively with staff and customers, resolve complaints, and complete required documentation accurately; willingness to adapt to peak serving times and maintain a clean work station throughout the shift
