Position: Food Preparation Worker
About: The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics at OSU hospitals is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team in providing quality nutritional care and food service operations for patients, personnel, and visitors. The position involves setting up workstations, preparing meals, ensuring food storage compliance, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding the ‘Intensive Caring’ philosophy in all interactions. This role may rotate between the Central Kitchen, Season’s Cafe Deli, and Patient Hospitality Centers within the hospital.
Requirements: Per Classified Civil Service Specifications, ability to perform basic math operations and basic reading/writing skills; completion of 100 hours training in kitchen equipment and food production practices or 1 month of relevant experience; must pass physical exam; basic computer skills required, previous food service experience preferred; availability for regular 40 varying shifts
