Position: Food Justice Assistant
About: Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) is a 51-year-old not-for-profit organization based in the Bronx, providing resources and support for Bronx residents from cradle to career, focusing on education and well-being. KHCC serves over 5,000 families annually, including children with special needs, low-income families, recent immigrants, survivors of abuse, and at-risk teens, helping them build bright futures in a vibrant community environment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; at least one year’s experience in organic gardening and/or farming/horticulture; ability to supervise and relate to children and youth effectively; associate’s degree in horticulture, natural sciences, education, or related field preferred; ability to communicate in Spanish required; proficiency with Microsoft and Google Suite applications; clean New York State driver’s license preferred
