Position: Fine Wine Consultant, Italian Specialist
About: Independence Wine & Spirits (IWS) is a vertically integrated distributor of fine wines and spirits with offices in Syosset, Long Island and a new sales office in the heart of New York City. They offer for sale, direct to on and off premise accounts, a carefully selected portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world, representing over 50 top estates and wineries along with a selection of craft spirit distillers.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 3-5 years of experience in sales; Strong working knowledge of wine and spirits; Imported wine and craft spirits are a plus; Self-motivated; Current account relationships for wine and spirits required; Strong communication, both written and verbal; Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere; High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office; Ability to speak French or Italian is preferred
