Position: Facilities Superintendent
About: Yale University is currently seeking a Facilities Superintendent to provide direct supervision and coordination of facilities in assigned areas for custodial services, overseeing physical plant and grounds activities to support the maintenance of university buildings. The Facilities Superintendent will be responsible for managing a staff of non-exempt employees, developing procedures to improve service and quality, and coordinating activities with internal and external customers and service providers.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Five years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Proven ability to manage and coordinate custodial, maintenance, and repair work activities; Knowledge of facilities management, including building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical; Critical thinking skills and the ability to resolve issues and respond to emergent situations; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to work irregular hours as needed for emergencies and special events
