Position: Facilities Maintenance Superintendent

About: The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Facilities Maintenance Superintendent – Aviation to manage maintenance and repair activities for the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and related facilities in a 24/7 environment. This position involves supervising skilled trades persons and labor crew to implement the airport maintenance program according to FAA regulations and County policies, executing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring organizational efficiency in maintenance operations.

Requirements: Requires ten (10) years of technical experience in building maintenance and construction including one (1) year of lead work/supervisory experience. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to obtain/maintain Airfield driving privileges and Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) access. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred. 2+ years of construction project management experience, 2+ years of Airport facility maintenance and operations experience, PeopleSoft purchasing experience, Maximo work order system experience, Kronos timekeeping experience, advanced certificate in one of the Airport skilled trades, 2+ years’ experience in Capital Asset Management including Budgets, AAAE Certified Member or AAE Accreditation.
