Position: Executive Pastry Chef
About: The Executive Pastry Chef position at a cruise line follows corporate guidelines and reports to the Executive Chef. The role involves supervising and training the Pastry and Bakery teams to provide high-quality products to guests and crew across all food outlets on the vessel.
Requirements: Fluent English; any additional European language is advantageous (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish, and French). Pastry Diploma/certificate and diploma in food safety/HACCP. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position in a high-volume/fine dining operation and managing F&B personnel. Computer literate with MS Office applications. Extensive knowledge of Pastry techniques and raw materials. Good knowledge of ice-cream preparation, international desserts, chocolate, and sugar. Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards. Strong communication skills with managers, kitchen, and dining personnel. STCW95 certification required (basic fire fighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, personal security, and social responsibility). A recognized medical certification is mandatory before commencing work onboard. VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any): Passport (validity of more than 1 year).
