Position: Events Specialist
About: The Event Coordinator position at Burns Miller Japanese Garden in Long Beach involves planning and executing various events in a serene garden setting. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the success of each event.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, sales, or a related role required, 5 years preferred; Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or a similar certification is preferred but not required; Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community and adhere to university policies; Light work involving some lifting and standing/walking.
