Position: EVENTS & OPERATIONS MANAGER-UAB ARTS
About: The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an Events & Operations Manager for UAB Arts Alliance. This individual will work under the direction of the Director of Administration Operations and must understand and adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Values of UAB Arts. The position involves executing the logistical operations of all events at the Alys Stephens Center, AEIVA, and ArtPlay facilities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required; work experience may substitute for education requirements. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in executing events preferred. Preferred skills include: 5+ years in client services, live events, events, or performing arts management; experience with team management and leadership; ability to function in fast-paced or stressful environments with calmness, confidence, and professionalism; proficiency in computer technology, event-related software, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office.
