Position: Events Manager

About: Florida Atlantic University, located in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking an Events Manager to plan and execute a wide range of College of Medicine events while fostering relationships with faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and external partners.

Requirements: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field; 3-5 years of event planning experience, preferably in higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or fundraising environments; Strong ability to manage multiple large-scale events with attention to detail; Proven experience in budget management, vendor contract negotiation, and logistical planning; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms; Experience in corporate sponsorships and donor engagement events; Familiarity with higher education event policies and branding guidelines; Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities; Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence in event execution; Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude; Ability to lift and carry event materials up to 25 lbs; Ability to stand for extended periods and work evenings and weekends as needed
