Position: Events Manager
About: The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) is a nonprofit animal shelter serving El Paso, Pueblo, and Douglas Counties, as well as the City of Centennial in Colorado. With a scenic mountain backdrop and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, HSPPR is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of pets and people. The organization employs over 200 employees and welcomes applicants to join as Event Specialist at the Colorado Springs campus.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred; two or more years of experience in managing large (>$100K) fundraising events highly preferred; ability to work within a fast-paced and technologically savvy workplace environment; familiarity with Philanthropy terms and models; ability to collaborate cross-departmentally; knowledge of animal behavior and handling experience preferred; background in events, communications, public relations, or marketing in a non-profit setting desired
