Position: Events & Engagement Manager
About: The University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment (IonE) is seeking a Senior Events & Engagement Manager to lead a portfolio of conferences, events, and communications designed to engage networks for advancing sustainability. This newly created position reflects growth in the institute’s convenings, public-facing events, and network-building activities.
Requirements: Ba/BS degree plus a minimum of six years of professional experience; proven ability in planning and executing medium to large-scale events, including hybrid or virtual formats; strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience integrating DEIJ principles into event planning and engagement strategies; proficiency in event management platforms, budgeting, and vendor management; familiarity with event marketing strategies and working collaboratively with communications teams
