Position: Events Director
About: ASM Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Director of Events at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Director of Events will be responsible for various functions under the direction of the General Manager in accordance with ASM policies.
Requirements: B.S. in Hotel Management or related field or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of Event Management experience in a Convention Center or related venue; 1-3 years of supervisory experience desired; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required; ability to effectively supervise staff and handle personnel problems; ability to prioritize multiple projects; high aptitude for figures and advanced writing skills; experience with AutoCAD preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
