Position: Events Coordinator – Venue and Rental Services
About: Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) is seeking an Events Coordinator – Venue and Rental Services to join the Venue and Rental Services Division on a full-time basis. This role will involve planning, coordinating, and executing various events to support BRCC’s mission and enhance its community presence. The Events Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure events are impactful, brand-aligned, and professionally managed under the guidance of the Director of Venue and Events Services at BRCC.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event planning and coordination; Strong organizational skills and project management experience, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service and relationship building; Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite; Familiarity with event coordination in higher education, nonprofit, or corporate settings; Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage
