Position: Events Coordinator
About: ASM Global, managing the Shreveport Convention Center, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Event Coordinator to assist in planning, organizing, and managing events within the facility. The position involves coordinating activities with service contractors, communicating with clients, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring the smooth execution of events from start to finish.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; working knowledge of facility management principles; excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills; good written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects; problem-solving and supervisory experience preferred; professional presentation and appearance; computer literacy; ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff; flexibility to work long and irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
