Position: Events Coordinator
About: The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is an educational agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia offering programs and resources about early American history through its museums – Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. The foundation is currently seeking an Events Coordinator to heighten the visibility of museum facilities, maximize the use of indoor and outdoor spaces, and establish a private events program to generate revenue and provide educational and cultural experiences to a wider audience.
Requirements: Proficient in MS Office Suite; Knowledge of the latest technological advances in communication and marketing; Excellent vendor relationship building and management skills; Knowledge of budgeting and procurement practices; Well organized with multitasking skills; Dynamic and creative; Problem-solving capabilities; Exceptional customer service skills; Comfortable with flexibility; Ability to network effectively; Experience in tourism and hospitality management, business administration, or related fields; Experience in event planning and coordination.
