Position: Events Attendant Crew Leader – G115
About: This position is responsible for supervising assigned personnel involved in Convention and Trade Center event operations under the direction of, or in the absence of, the Operations Supervisor. Supports an organizational culture where customer service is paramount. Coordinates training, schedules, supervises and recommends discipline for personnel. Assists in room setup assignments, breaks down and cleans rooms after events. Receives and assists in the unloading of merchandise; ensures delivery to proper areas. Monitors and tracks audio-visual sign in/out log, and is responsible for ensuring the placement and return of all equipment. Works after hours, on weekends, and on holidays as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge of the principles and practices of facilities and grounds maintenance and repair, audiovisual equipment operation, operation of forklifts, hi-lifts, sweepers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners, problem solving, decision making, management, supervision, landscaping activities, oral and written communication, and operating a motor vehicle. Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in facility and grounds maintenance, audiovisual equipment operation, and management; skilled in operating forklifts, hi-lifts, sweepers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners; strong problem solving and decision-making abilities; excellent management and supervision skills; proficiency in landscaping activities; effective oral and written communication skills; valid driver’s license; ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
