Position: Event Specialist-CONEV
About: This position is for a regular, full-time, hourly, non-exempt, and benefit-eligible staff member at the Nigh University Center, responsible for coordinating the logistics of events such as conferences, seminars, special promotions, programs, camps, and direct mail campaigns. The role involves organizing events and programs from inception to clean-up, including scheduling staff, catering, contracts, venue arrangements, and budget management. The position also entails evaluating programs and providing feedback to the leadership team. There is potential to earn sales commission in this position.
Requirements: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in the chosen field, providing knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Proficiency in executing tasks according to standard procedures, learning new subject matter, attention to detail, and responsiveness to feedback are essential. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to resolve issues based on established procedures, and collaboration with supervisors for setting priorities and resolving problems. May provide input into budget development and execute routine procedures with guidance from senior staff.
