Position: Event Setup Crew
About: This position is for an individual to work in a Statehouse and Conference Center environment, responsible for setting up and managing audio, visual, and sound equipment for events and activities. The role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, organizing event setups, and ensuring spaces are presentable for Statehouse events.
Requirements: Practical knowledge of all audio, video, and sound equipment, along with commercial-grade cleaning equipment used for Statehouse & Conference Center events and upkeep; Ability to complete manual tasks involving constant standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping; Must be able to follow specific instructions orally and in writing, and work independently with minimal supervision; Outstanding customer service skills; Knowledge of equipment and furniture used in conference centers and Statehouses for event setups; Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures on short notice; Proficiency in setting up sound equipment, mixers, microphones, speakers, and cabling; Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, state agencies, and the public as needed; Availability to work weekends with minimal notice, as the schedule is based on events; Ability to supervise and assist interns on assigned projects; Ability to serve as a group leader and facilitate training for new staff members.
