Position: Event Planning Manager
About: Hyatt Regency Portland, located near the Oregon Convention Center, is seeking an experienced Event Planning Manager to join their team. The hotel boasts 20 customizable event venues with over 39,000 square feet of event space, catering to a wide range of events from small gatherings to large groups of up to 1,200 guests. The Event Planning Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating details of meetings, conventions, and social programs, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees while building strong relationships with clients and partners in the hospitality industry.
Requirements: Highly preferred: a minimum of 2 years of hotel event sales/event planning experience; strong desire to meet customer needs in a fast-paced environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in general computer knowledge; detail-oriented and organized; previous hotel F&B operational experience a plus; ability to work under pressure; capable of maintaining confidentiality and collaborating in a team setting; exceptional time management and organizational skills.
