Position: Event Planner 2
About: Focus on the Family, a 501c3 Christian Non-Profit Ministry headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, focuses on enriching the lives of families, engaging the culture, advocating for life, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Event Planner 2 position is responsible for overseeing and implementing the planning of various small and medium scale events both onsite and offsite, requiring general direction and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred; 1-3 years of experience in organizing and implementing meetings, events, or related activities; Project Management experience is a plus; Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication; Strong planning and organizational skills; Ability to handle multiple projects, meet strict deadlines, solve problems, and stay calm in a crisis; Proficient in computer hardware and software, specifically Office 365, MS Word, and MS Excel; Must pass a data management test (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
