Position: Event Operations Coordinator
About: The Senator John Heinz History Center, a Smithsonian-affiliated museum and a first-day Pittsburgh attraction, presents compelling stories from American history with a Western Pennsylvania connection in an interactive and engaging environment. It is the largest history museum in Pennsylvania, located in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, offering long-term and changing exhibitions, event spaces, and additional museums like the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum and the Fort Pitt Museum.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; at least two years of experience in event execution, facility rental coordination, or the hospitality industry; ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team, multitask, meet deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced environment; strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with audio visual and sound equipment preferred; availability to work evenings and weekends
