Position: Event Manager job

About: The company is seeking an Events Manager for a 9-month contract role with potential extension or conversion. The position is located in San Francisco, CA. The Events Manager will be responsible for designing and producing various types of events, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences, bringing together executives, partners, customers, and employees. Success in this role depends on agility, clear communication, outstanding organizational skills, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements: 8+ years of experience as an event professional managing high-volume events and corporate meetings; manage Nonprofit Event Program with responsibilities including managing intake, vetting each nonprofit, submitting to internal nonprofit vetting committee, and being the direct point of contact for external nonprofits; manage white glove high-touch C-level executive facing programs with a high level of hospitality; partner with hospitality stakeholder teams to execute high-touch customer meetings and programming; manage and update event-related SOPs for streamlined alignment across the event team; coordinate various events such as executive receptions, non-profit fundraisers, customer events, executive meetings, and virtual events; excellent problem-solving skills, ability to negotiate demands creatively, and prioritize workload in a deadline-oriented environment; strong customer service experience with a solid events background, highly personable, and service-focused; self-starter, highly motivated, and innovative problem solver willing to take risks, iterate, and learn; experience in successfully managing third-party vendors, contractors, and budgets; high level of confidentiality and comfort working with executives; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with expertise and skill; excellent written and verbal communication, customer service skills, proactive client needs addressing ability; willingness to work early mornings and evenings
