About: Joia Beach in Miami, Florida is seeking an Event Manager to assist in planning and executing large contract banquet events. The position involves administrative tasks and onsite event setup/execution, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements: High School Education or equivalent experience; 3-4 years of experience in high-volume Banquet service; Flexible Schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, as needed); Experience handling beverages; Food Handler Certified; Ability to operate computer equipment; Experience with TripleSeat a plus; Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual a plus; Experience in luxury Hospitality, Restaurant or Hotel Banquets, Nightlife, Beach Club, or other consumer-facing, service-based/distributed workforce environments required; Able to work an 8-hour shift or longer; scheduled days and times may vary based on need; Combination of office/administrative planning and onsite event execution; Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours; Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
