Position: Event Manager job
About: The Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia, is seeking an Event Manager to coordinate and provide professional client services support for events held at the convention center. The Event Manager acts as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all requirements are met and facility policies are followed.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; one to two years of related experience and/or training; working knowledge of facility management principles; excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills; good written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects; problem-solving and communication skills; supervisory experience preferred; professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic; ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff including management; ability to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays
