Position: Event Manager job
About: JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa in Aventura, FL is seeking an experienced Event Manager to coordinate with Sales, departments, and clients to ensure high-level service throughout all phases of property events, maximizing revenue and creating outstanding events. The Event Manager will serve as the primary contact for event planners, manage budgets, room blocks, and up-sell event services, among other responsibilities.
Requirements: 4-year university degree preferred or equivalent experience in luxury hotels/resorts; professional demeanor for a luxury environment; 2-4 years’ experience in event management at a luxury property preferred; knowledge of CI-TY preferred; organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; strategic and tactical decision-making skills; knowledge of catering and events market; ability to handle diverse events like bar mitzvahs, corporate events, and weddings
