Position: Event Manager job
About: ASM Global is a leader in privately-managed public assembly facilities and is currently seeking an Event Manager for ASM Knoxville at the Knoxville Convention Center (KCC) and World’s Fair Exhibition Hall (WFEH). The Event Manager will be responsible for providing professional client services support in planning, organizing, and managing events within the facility, including overseeing event logistics and coordination tasks from booking to completion.
Requirements: BA degree in hospitality, business, facility management, or related field (preferred); 1-2 years of event planning, meeting planning, or production experience; minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry and/or customer service (preferred); exceptional interpersonal, organization, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills; excellent negotiation skills; excellent business judgment and timely decision-making; ability to handle crowd management, security procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook Email & PowerPoint); must be able to pass company background standards
