Position: Event Manager | Augusta Entertainment Complex
About: The Events Manager directs, supervises, and manages events from the advance planning stages through to the end of the event, ensuring client standards and contractual obligations are met or exceeded. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Requirements: Bachelors degree from accredited college/university in a related field (Facility, Hospitality, Sports, or Business Management, or related field); minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in event management setting (stadium, arena, convention center, or public assembly facility); prior supervisory responsibilities encouraged; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; must be self-motivated with strong leadership abilities and organizational skills; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office required; working knowledge and principles of events, fire and public safety regulations as well as relevant federal, state and local regulations; familiarity with A/V equipment, electronic systems, and AutoCad in relation to stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or public assembly facilities; ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays, and extended number of days
